What repertoire does a band in Moldova play?
Professional bands in Chișinău and across Moldova carry dozens of songs in their repertoire, across all sorts of genres — Romanian and Moldovan folk for the traditional moments, international classics (Beatles, Queen, ABBA), modern pop (Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Rihanna), romantic numbers for the couple's first dance and Russian songs for the older guests. A good band will go through the song list with the organisers before the event.
How much does a wedding band cost?
Prices start at 500€ for bands of 3-4 members (ideal for a cumătrie or a smaller celebration) and go up to 2000-5000€ for the larger 6-10 piece bands with a name across Moldova. Band + DJ together or separately?
For a Moldovan wedding, the ideal combination is a live band for the important moments (3-4 hours) and a DJ for the after party. Many bands already work with DJs, or can recommend partners they trust. Ask your band over chat whether they handle the handover themselves, or whether you need to book the DJ separately.
